I'll be in the area for a few days and was wondering if there was anything I had to eat up there to make my trip complete.

Superior will probably be the most popular answer. I'm sure Paul Allen will show up and say Shreveport sucks.

Ernest's
Superior Steakhouse
Oyster Bar (nstead of Superior Mexican)
Broadmoor (lunch, beside Hickory Stick on Youree)
Cantina Laredo (chain, but gooood mexican...BR needs one)
Sushiko (sushi at Boardwalk)
I work there often, those are some of my favorites

Good list Boss...
For Lunch I like VInces North port..The Cotton Boll might be my favorite. Southfield Grill is always good. For Mexican I like Nicky's but Trejo's is always ok. The cub for your steak.
Upscale was listed up top..

I totally agree with this. Ate at the one in Destin and it rocks, even though I got a terribly upset stomach after.

For lunch I would suggest (all locations are 10$ or less.)
Southern food
Strawn's- Bossier and Shreveport locations
Cajun or BBQ
Shane's - Shreveport and Bossier Locations
Cajun
Herby K's- Shreveport (A little more pricey than these others. 17 bucks gets you a Shrimp buster, a goblet of beer and a decent tip for the waitress.)
Mexican
Mario's- Bossier
El Compadre- Shreveport
For Dinner ($$) (20 bucks a person)
Shreveport
Savoie's- Cajun
Superior Grill- Mexican
Ernest's- Good food but pricey. (30-35 per person)
Bossier City
Ralph and Kacoo's- Cajun/Creole
Also their are El Chico's throughout both cities which is good Mexican food for about 10-12 dollars a plate.
Also, If you are interested in Italiana for lunch or dinner, Monjuni's is a good quality, low priced option. There are locations in both cities.
IMHO Superior Steakhouse is overpriced for a lot of pomp and circumstance and not for the food.

Olive Street Bistro in Shreveport.
L'Italiano in Bossier City.
Both are Italian places and they are great. And I'm Cajun, not Italian. Do not go to any seafood places if you're from south La. You'll be disappointed.

I went to Strawn's for the first time this weekend and was very pleased with everything. Good prices, great food and good service.

This is because zach has personally tried them all and none meet his pretentious standards. (douche)
