just wrap your ship up well in bubble wrap, make sure you put it all in a bag of some sort (trash bag, ziplock, whatever) so it doesn't leak through the box just in case, and fill any extra space in the box with something so stuff isn't moving around too much

send through fedex or ups (not usps)

No, because it is illegal for a non-licensed individual to ship alcohol, but I did have some success shipping "souvenir" bottles and cans. I would follow Gnar Cat21's suggestions.

To clarify: it is illegal to ship alcohol via USPS.

It is against company policy to ship alcohol via UPS/ FedEx

It's not really against UPS/FedEx policy. You just need the right account.

It's actually perfectly legal to ship alcohol across state lines between friends.

On my account I have an option to select "alcohol" which requires a signature of someone 21+ if I select it

Most people do. It isn't that hard to get approved, you just pay for an account rep and report each alcohol shipment. FedEx charges more for shipping because they have to report it to the state.

I'm sure it puts you on some list.

It is a private exchange of alcohol between private citizens using a private service licensed to transport alcohol. Nothing is illegal by anyone involved. I don't know why private individuals would need to be licensed.
