There I said it!!!
I love me some bourbon, but there is nothing greater than a good smooth 12-14 year Scotch to make you happy.

Sure there is. Get a man’s scotch at 15-21 years.

This.
Although I tend to go in phases... currently it's a scotch phase, but I might in month or so (as in, football season) switch to more bourbon.

Yes, Gary.
Also love some Highland Park (any age) and Talisker.

Happy you feel that way, I do not. My goto is an old fashioned.

Bad scotch is worse than bad bourbon.
Good scotch is far better than good bourbon.
Mediocre scotch is a little bit better than mediocre bourbon.
BTW: Glenfiddich 30 is my GOAT followed closely by Talisker 18.

Both are marvelous inventions. I drink both at different times during the year.

Honestly I enjoy the shite out of some Dewars but I am sure that's not a popular opinion.

I'll take it one further
Aged Rum > Scotch > Bourbon
I'll drink any and all of the above though

Lagavulin 16 yr is my number one. I've got a bottle of the distiller's edition that I'm saving for a special occasion.

Bourbon has a much better value at a lower price point. I'll take a $30 bourbon over a $30 Scotch anyday.
