Every knife company has a different angle at what they think is the sharpest knife. For example, using a harder steel with a finer edge is not much different than having a slight steeper angle on the edge of the knife with a slight different type of steel. Does not mean that the edge will get dull more.
So, if I have a knife that I sharpen everyday with my hone, I will not have the same angle that is made by cutco.
So what are you pissing in the wind for? What is your point? Why are you so worried about this and so against something you are speculating about and have no facts what you are saying.
Buying expensive knives of any brand are good knives. Maybe the feel of each knife brand maybe different. Use your argument for something that is more worthy than kitchen knives.

I’m starting to think a cutco salesman had great sex with your girlfriend...

Cutco is the Mustang equivalent in the knife world.
Everything about it is wrong, but it is still a servicable knife/car.

My last experience with a Cutco was about 8 years ago. Sliced the frick out of my finger. It was sharp.

First of all, they don't even have an "edge", they're serrated.
You’ve been bashing Cutco for 5 pages and think all they sell are serated knives lol

Guess you should have read all five pages:

Correct, and the ones that aren't do not hold their edge worth shite...again, because they are made of shitty steel.
So they either retain cutting ability because they're serrated, and are therefore glorified saws...or they don't retain cutting ability.
Either way, you're paying through the nose for garbage knives.
frick yo cutco, frick yo momma's cutco, and frick yo grand momma's cutco

I had the same experience with my non-serrated hunting knife. Cut-up 10-15 deer and a 300lb hog with it plus used it for meat prep and just had it sharpened for the first time.
I used to cut up whole large animals as a job, so I have used and sharpened lots and lots of knives. The cutco edge held better than any of the other knives I ever used.
I can get pretty much any knife as sharp, but they still don't hold an edge as long as the cutco does.

One of my high school friends sold them when we were starting college. My mom bought one from him and still uses it, even calls it Eric in honor of him. Granted- she has a variety of knives she uses (from cheap to expensive) but that knife is still a great knife and it's closing in on being 30 years old now.

My Henkel's have lasted me about 12 years now. I can get them shaving sharp in about 10 minutes each, and they hold an edge for several months with only a touch up on the strop every few uses.
Too bad you haven’t shaved with them and fallen on one so I didn’t have to read five pages of your stupid shite.
Just as many people think Henkels and Wustoff are big heavy overpriced knives that don’t hold a decent edge. You should pick another to pimp as they are in the same class as Cutco. And for the record I have plenty of all of them as well as a Bob Kramer licensed to Henkel, old Chicago Cutlery and a bunch of Dexter Russell’s as well and all of them are good if they are sharp.
So why do you give a shite what other people spend their money on when apparently you don’t even know what a Cutco knife is?

You may have bought plenty of knives but you obviously haven’t learned much about them. Henckels are entry level, but head and shoulders above Cutco. Wusthoffs are world class top of the food chain. You may start with the Japanese knives, but that’s a different animal all together.
At the rate this thread is going there will be folks claiming they’ve split atoms and felled redwoods with their cutcos. It never ceases to amaze me how people feel compelled to defend their purchase because they can’t stand to think they’ve been duped.
