With a twist.
The new Popeye's Cheddar Biscuit mix
Cholula infused sharp cheddar
Quality pork sausage
Pimentos
Cream cheese
Had to add a half block of smoked Gruyere cheese
And what ever seasonings your ancestors tell you to use....

Mix together

Make your balls

15 minutes in the oven and if want to butter them and stick them back in the oven it takes less than 2 minutes, do not get distracted

You can use syrup, honey, hot honey, molasses... What ever your heart desires. I went with Canadian pure maple syrup and proceeded to enjoy a few to many this morning.

Hey heypaul, those are some fine looking sausage balls. And I admire your enthusiasm for them. But for the love of Mike can we please splurge for the Philly cream cheese next time. I find the additional 40 cents to be well worth it.

I don't like other store-brand cream cheese, but the Walmart brand is almost identical to Philadelphia. That has even proven out in blind taste tests, where other brands were much milder in flavor and easily discernible, but the Great Value brand was nearly indiscernible from Philadelphia. Most other brands are missing that little tang you get from Philadelphia and Great Value.
