Wrong dumbass. Ruth Chris in Baton Rouge stacks up against any. Best service to boot.

When did the F&D board turn in to the OT?
First two threads I’ve opened today quickly devolved into childish bickering and name calling.
This used to be a place for civil discourse.
Guess you can’t have nice things on the internet.

She also started the sizzling hot plate craze that sees the steaks coming to the table piping hot.

While I get the sentiment, I'm not a fan of this, as the steak keeps cooking on that hot arse plate. Your Medium Rare may become a Medium Well by the time you finish if you are a slow eater.

I’m pretty sure they actually DON’T dry age their steaks.

You are correct. They wet age their steaks, but they are prime beef that is aged before processing to cook.

Yes - usually the non status-quo people are viewed that way.

I have not had consistent results at Ruth's Chris and don't go very often as a result. Some cuts have been downright disappointing. I used to have some friends that hung out at the bar at the one on Canal, but that was just drinking and goofing off.

In a professional kitchen steaks should be something that is very easy to cook with consistency. For the prices you pay Ruth Chris better be great. To be honest, last time I ate at the one in Lafayette it was very mediocre.

Agree with everything here. You go across the street to Capital Grill or Del Frisco's and it is guaranteed to be a better meal.

Ruths and Mortons are the has-beens of the steak world.

However, the best one we've ever eaten at was a non-corporate owned location in downtown Boise. It was incredible.

Same reason the BR one rocks every time.

Perfection literally means ‘perfect’ which would insinuate there is nothing better out there.

Or it just means that particular piece of meat was perfectly cooked.

Weird thing to get your panties in a wad over.

I worked there for like 5 years. The owner/operator really knows how to run a place.

Ok. I’ll stop posting my opinion that Ruth Chris is not “perfection” since better steaks can be found in any major city.

We go every year for my daughter's birthday because that is where she wants to go. That is the only time I will pay them money because I always leave underwhelmed.

The last time I went to Ruths Chris my baked potato was hard as a rock. The steak was fantastic though. Just hard for me to go back and buy another $10 baked potato (simplest thing to cook in the world) and they screw it up

i can barely finish the steak; i don't think i've ever gotten a side at Ruth's unless its one of those free business lunch things where you get a 6oz filet, sides and a dessert.
