I haven't been to the BR location yet, but a friend took this of the seafood stuffed potato. Looks like it could be two potatoes. Perhaps the portion sizes would explain the elevated prices over similar restaurants?

I would also like to add, I don't enjoy my food swimming like this.

Just got back with family. Big thumbs up.
Son had cup of gumbo and soft-shell crab poboy (plain). He said the crab was very good and one of the better gumbos he has eaten.
Daughter had the Delta Queen, which she really liked. I had a taste and it was very good. She said the reddish and shrimp were well cooked and fresh. Big portion...lots left over.
Wife had the coconut shrimp, which she really liked and even my son thought it tasted good (and he typically does not like coconut shrimp). Ate about half before she was full.
She and he both said the hushpuppies were great, and that's after not finding a decent one in BR since Drusilla Seafood went through its turmoil.
I had the 12 Oz ribeye, which was very good and cooked well. Plain baked potato with butter. Caesar salad was not soaked in dressing.
Was told 45 mins for a table and they were pretty spot on. Very attentive wait staff and they actively, but fairly unobtrusively, bused the table during the meal.
Will definitely go again.
Downside - parking is a damned nightmare.

Just got back from going for lunch, and I have to say it was pretty damn good. Even though I wasn't thrilled about another seafood place, it is definitely put together well and exactly what the area could have used.
We split the seafood platter, which was your normal shrimp/catfish/oyster.. Then it also came with a couple boiled shrimp, a whole fried soft shell crab, French fries, hush puppies, Cole slaw, seafood and sausage gumbo, and topped with an onion ring.
We split it and still have an entire box filled of leftovers.
The soft shell crab was one of the best I've ever had. The rest was how you'd expect fried seafood to taste, but definitely well done and not shitty grease. The boiled shrimp and gumbo both had lots of flavor.
Also our waitress was really sweet and stayed on top of everything. Would return.

the food at the Natchez place was good but in no way worth waiting 45 minutes for. Glad to hear the BR location is doing so well though, every good business in town helps

Public service announcement: Capital City Crawfish has really good hushpuppies.

Friday night in BR and you are waiting at least that long at any restaurant worth a damn.

i got a roux burger on Saturday and would not recommend ordering one. I was not feeling fried seafood.
The bun on the bottom side basically disappeared from soaking up all the juices. I tried picking it up and taking a bite to which it just fell apart. I essentially just ate the burger with my fork.
I tried the fried pickles though and I thought the batter was pretty awesome and not salty at all.

Give me some comps. I love me some fried soft shell crab, but I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't suspicious as hell of this comment.

I usually hate soft shell crab because I find they taste too much like the water they came from. This one had a good dark batter that wasn't thick and had plenty meat/juice falling out as you ate it. It tasted obviously better than the other fried seafood (because let's face it -- most other types of fried seafood are overpowered by batter).. but it didn't taste like old ocean.
I was a fan.
