Either way, any "deceiving" here with regard to that would be on the restaurant, not on one reading the menu as presented on their website.

Well if the one reading the website was a moron perhaps

Seems pretty clear that those pastas can stand alone as entrees

I disagree with your statement that this looks like some sort of traditional menu

I think you may have misunderstood me.

Maybe

I thought you meant they were going for a traditional Italian menu in terms of the pasta being app courses and the entrees being the only actual entrees

Is that what you meant?

I just meant, that's how it could logically be read if one is used to seeing traditional type Italian menu designations.

I agreed, there was really no way that this place was going that route.

Still looks like a rather boring at best, crappy at worst, menu either way.

I wish them well, though.

I already hate it and I haven't even been there. Marcellos was a goddamn gem for Baton Rouge. Yeah I'm angry!

Frickin' now it's the Applebee's of fish dishes.

I absolutely loved Marcellos and still am in a state of anger that they sold out. I of course understand but damn it was one my favorites in town and close to my home. As for Romacelli, I've been to the Lafayette location quite a few times and its a serviceable lunch spot. It will struggle to garner a huge dinner following IMO, especially from those who long for the days of Marcellos.

At least give it a shot and then report back on the quality of the cooking. Don't be mad forever.

I kind of like Red Zeppelin. It's not near the top of pizza places for me in BR but it's good and I like sitting outside. Strangely, Perkins doesn't seem so terrible when I'm sitting outside drinking a beer and eating pizza.

This. No, it's not the best pizza in town. But it's probably my favorite place to eat pizza in town. Good pizza. Nice beer menu. Fair prices. Patio.

I went last night, a decent crowd was in there. But I agree with the lunch comment, seems the menu is better for that. As for the food, its was good, nothing amazing by any means. I wouldn't have a problem going back
