Now open in Southdowns. The old Marcello's location. Lunch and dinner seven days a week. Very casual and family friendly.

It's a shame that Marcello's is no more.

And one's a boneless chicken breast.

I was really pissed Marcello's sold out. It was becoming one of my favorite restaurants to go to. I loved their drinks, food and desserts. No more caramel custard!

I noticed that too.

What a weird way to start off. Maybe less apps, and more entrees would have been better.

The OP has to be a part owner or something.

Gotta be. You can check and see that his two other post were propping up his other restaurant.

and for what it's worth, AGE is good but not 15/plate good.

I'm wondering if RB will be the same.

I ususally wait a month before I hit up any new joint, but in this case I'm thinking 2+.

The Cajun crawfish pasta looks good. I like the pictures they posted. It looks like a nice place. Southdowns is really getting to be a destination with the Bulldog, Bushwoods, Red Zeppelin, Thai Kitchen and now this.

I kind of like Red Zeppelin. It's not near the top of pizza places for me in BR but it's good and I like sitting outside. Strangely, Perkins doesn't seem so terrible when I'm sitting outside drinking a beer and eating pizza.

Same here, wasn't a fan at first, but now has become one of my favorite places. Even with Perkins right there, one of the better patios in town

From your name, I'd guess you are an owner. I was at the soft opening Saturday night and I thought the food was good. I had the shrimp pasta and the wife had a pizza. We had the Med. hummus app. Good to see lots of familiar faces from Marcello's working there. I agree with other posters about the tilapia entrees though.

Well if you click on the pasta portion and count those as entrees then not really

By my count they have 10 pasta dishes, 5 entrees, 11 sandwiches, 10 pizzas (and a create your own pizza option), they also have 5 salads that would appear to be entree sizes.

It's a little deceiving to say that they only have 5 entrees.

Ehh, it seems they're going for the traditional Italian style menu designations, where things like pasta and pizzas are not considered "entree" courses. Although, I suspect the actual execution and presentation would be as you described.

Either way, any "deceiving" here with regard to that would be on the restaurant, not on one reading the menu as presented on their website.

With an Italian/Mediterranean combo, just copy Mazen's menu

Get some veal shank and osso bucco on the menu. Get that red sauce right. We'll be back BrokenEgg
