Damn, that sounds like a really good special.

I might have to take a ride out there someday this week.

Don't go there thinking you will have an old school Deangelo's experience. Roma Pizza is a small operation. It will probably just be Omar working the register and taking orders with a Mexican broad or two in back cooking.

speaking from being one of 4 people in the original deangelos staff, that's exactly how the old school experience was.

So were you one of the Mexican broads?

Had to go after reading this post a few days ago. The wife is part Italian and grew up right outside of Chicago. She's been complaining since I met her about there being no genuine pizza joints around here. I definitely give this place a 10. Food was excellent, Omar was awesome. Our son was with us, and it took him 15 minutes to make Omar his new best friend. We were hooked up with free bread sticks and drinks being that it was our first visit. I'll definitely be back.

Wife (no pics) went tom pick up a pizza for lunch yesterday and Omar insisted she eat a free slice while she waited.

I really feel that Omar is in business more to make friends than money, but b/c he makes so many fiends he will make all the money he needs.

Calling Rag. How was it?

Thinking of bringing about 10 co workers there for lunch tomorrow. From all the things I read on here this Mr. Omar is my newest friend and I don't even know him yet. Haven't tried the food yet but I trust you guys' judgement. Hope this place succeeds.

I would just take sherwood all the way to airline, take airline south to Prairieville

Will have to try it out. Last couple of times I ordered from DeAngelo's and Rotolo's I wasn't blown away.

Glad you enjoyed it. But what did your wife -- the part-Italian Chicago pizza expert -- say about her meal?

Part of the reason it was a 10 for me was because she enjoyed it so much. Thin crust, fresh cut vegetables, home made marinara sauce, can't beat it.
