Hitachi doesn't make the traditional, old time Chime O Matic any longer, from what I'm told.. but E-bay occasionally has a few.

You could always set the timer on your phone.

My rice cooker makes a pop up sound like a toaster when it is ready..But does it really make a difference..The rice cooker keeps the rice warm until you are ready to eat.

I have an Aroma rice cooker. It beeps at me when it's ready.

ETA: also is eBay the only place to get that hitachi chime o matic? That's the exact one my parents have had for the better part of three decades

My sister was obsessed with finding a Chime o Matic replacement for her vintage cooker that finally died. I had one with a ding, gave it to her, but it had the "wrong" ding. Someone found a Chime O Matic for her at a garage sale.
