There are supposedly some good restaurants in the Golden Nugget and L'auberge, havent tried them out yet though

A poster here once suggested Luna. I have gone a few times and they have had live bands and the food is really good.

No live music but two of my favorites are Cousins or Calla. 1910 or Mazens are also highly recommended.

Can't believe no one has said Luna. This is the obvious answer. Good food. Often have live music.

Rickenjacks is another good option. Far more acoustic sets there than Luna.

Blue Dog Cafe in downtown Lake Charles also has live music.

Luna is great. Try their Luna Tuna, it's a tuna steak grilled and they top it with this butter sauce, it's so good.
Get their homemade chips and ranch dip too. They have an outdoor patio with a stage that has some bands on the weekends usually.
I don't get the love for Darrell's. I tried it once and it was ok, although the jalapeño mayo is very good.
Try Seafood Palace, that's very good and the restaurants in the casinos are good but, they're in a casino so the prices are inflated.

i had the worst sandwich of my life there recently. It claimed to be grilled turkey and was actually singed oscar mayer deli meat. I should have bolted when I saw that the menu claimed to have "cream spinach."
