I love a good burger so I’ll check it out.
But don't come at me if you don't. We have a bit different opinions.
I will also check out Heirloom and Bs.
Dave Poe's on Whitlock in Marietta is good as is Sam's BBQ 1 on Lower Roswell

Yeah I like dave poes but now that I found the Mac and cheese recipe I don’t go as often
We get them catered at work quite often.
Heirloom is Korean bbq. Bs is just good stuff.

Gris Gris, sorry for the hijack. But maybe keeping at the top will get you more info.

Indeed.
And I apologize for being a bit of a jerk. I’m working on it.
How about Thai in the northwest quadrant?

Cypress Pint and Plate is decent for beers.
That's my go-to when going to something at the Fox Theatre. Food could be a little better, but great outdoor patio.

My friend got moved to a hotel in downtown. Ate very late last night and ended up at Polaris. Ate near the conference today at Raze (I may have misspelled it.)
He's looking at a restaurant called Gun Show for tonight. Anyone know anything about it?

I have not been to Gun Show but people rave about it. Good choice from what I know

I would add I love Ticonderoga in Krog Street .... great food and drinks
Boca Lupo is tough to get in, but good stuff around the corner from Krog

Gunshow is fantastic one of my fav restaurants in atl. It can be hard to get a res tho she may want to call and confirm she can eat there

When I finally found the right person to ask where I could buy them (thinking some Asain Sysco equivalent), she proudly informed me she made them in-house and sent me home with a big bag of them. Color me impressed.

There’s a spot on st simons we had last time I would take over any I’ve had in the state. Name is escaping me but it was insane good
Southern Soul. The handful of times I've been there I haven't been impressed with them.
Would definitely take Fox Bros and Heirloom over them. Never had B's.

Atlanta mex scene is pretty crappy. I grew up in Texas.
Buford Highway has some good authentic Mexican restaurants, along with any other ethnicity.
We have one out this way too on Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw called Tacos del Chavo. Tiny little place with some damn good food. Only open for lunch though.

He loved it. He went a bit late, so had no issues getting in. Had some nice chats with the chefs and loved the food.
Anyone know anything about Ok Yaki? LINK
Thanks again for everyone helping me out.

I have not heard of it. If he is interested in going that far east and in that area, I would recommend looking in Decatur.
Iberian Pig
Brick Store Pub (my choice)
Leon's Full Service (my other choice-haha!)
The Pinewood
Jimmy Johns

As in the Jimmy Johns sandwiches?
He's looking at the food type, not the location. Ok Yaki is Japanese street food from what the website indicates.

Hope this was a joke, unless some new restaurant named Jimmy Johns has opened up since the last time that I was in Decatur.

Why would you suggest that? I'm looking for serious replies.

Ya just trying to rile up the natives. Jimmy Johns so clearly not like the other suggestions.
