Long time lurker and need some help. Best restaurants in and around Biloxi. High class, low class, hole in the wall, doesn't matter. What's the boards suggestions? I hear Shaggys isn't bad.

Have some good joints in ocean springs. Charred, murky waters, mosaic, phonecia and I’m sure a couple more.

Make a drive down to BSL... Jeffrey Hansell (ox lot 9) just opened up Thorny Oyster there (haven’t been yet, but ox lot is great), Fields, TBT (wings/bar food, also one in Biloxi), the wife had a good experience at North Beach last weekend, Trapanis and Sycamore House.

Not a huge fan of Mary Mahoneys, it’s good but frick it’s over priced. You can always grab steaks at Morton’s or BR Prime. Billups for late night breakfast and baachus (also in pass christian) is usually solid. The restaurant in the White House hotel isn’t bad, Coras i think is the name. It’s also a cool little place to stay.

I want to go check it out, just haven’t been back to visit the MIL is once it opened. Lived there for 7yrs, wasn’t near as many options as there are now.

Would just hang at TBT, Traps (at old and new locations) and North Beach. Then hit sycamore every now and then. Shaggys had kind of gone side ways at the time, couldn’t even get a cold beer back then (meaning they always tasted like they just got put on ice), so we wouldn’t go much.

Hooks in the Pass isn’t bad at all, plus Baachus just has a sweet set up outside. I haven’t been to Whiskey Prime, have heard some mixed reviews.

Hooks is underrated in my opinion. Have always had a good meal there.

Whoa. I did not know this. I love Ox Lot, so this is most certainly tops on my list next time we are in the area

You may already know this but Chef JH is from the BSL area (Waveland technically).

It’s not - we went there after the parades in Gulfport for Mardi Gras 2020. The food was okay, nothing to get excited about, but the kids ate, the service and adult beverages were good.

We ate at Murky Waters in Gulfport in November - that was really good.

I was there last week. Ate at Cora's in the White House Hotel twice. Delicious food and a nice bar.

Wife and I went to the Gport location once, I don’t think you could get my wife back into the place with a bribe.

The Rack House though, was very enjoyable.

I went to the Half Shell in Biloxt last Thursday. Nothing great about it but the food is pretty good and it is a fun and lively place. My two favorite restaurants there are BR Prime and Cora's. Stalla is very good but they are just open on weekends.

Had a buddy in the food sales industry back in my days out there. The entire damn menu was almost all Sysco products. It may have changed since then...

Wasn’t he the guy with High Cotton? Or maybe Salute?

They also tried to pass off what I think was sheepshead for lump crabmeat on a special when I went there once. This is back when he first opened the Gulfport location. I asked the waiter and I couldn’t figure out if I caught them or she was just perplexed. Went one more time and have never been back.

There is way better food on the coast from BSL all the way the OS.

Interested to see how long the one in BR will last.
