Restaurant catering on Thanksgiving.

I have a friend coming in town on Thanksgiving day. He is renting a house around campus and is wanting to know if any local establishment will cater for his family.
Any suggestions? I assume any and all types of food would be ok.

What do you mean by catering? Several restaurants are open most with traditional and regular menu items
Most will have the to go option
Most grocery stores will be doing thanksgiving orders to go
If you are looking for on site catering for thanksgiving day… good luck

Bergeron’s on Jefferson Highway has turkeys and side dishes. You have to order ahead of time. Deadline to order is 11/14/23. Menu is online.
Maxwells has a menu up from last year. Nothing for 2023 yet.

They haven't made the post about it yet this year, but Rocca has done a "Thanksgiving Table" the past few years that looked good.
The package last year was a 15-16lb smoked turkey, gravy, pecan pie, and 7 side dishes.
You could do a la carte too I'm pretty sure.

Frank’s is the way to go. They have delicious smoked hams and sides. (Can’t speak for the turkey, but I’m sure it’s good)
City Pork is good too. The prices are right over there and the quality is good.
I’m sure Don Bergeron’s has some sort of Thanksgiving meal

Thank you, everyone for the suggestions. I am sure this will help him, as he lives outside of the US, and hasn't been to BR in 20 years.

Friend,
While we have never had Thanksgiving catered, the meals at Piccadilly Cafeteria are still impressive. Looking at Piccadilly's catering website, turkey dinners are $80, which include their delicious stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce. You can get a turkey only for $49, which seems the better buy, as you could buy the gravy, rolls, and dressing as sides, which would be cheaper. Quart sized sides are $12.
I was sad to see that the Piccadilly in Jacksonville, FL closed this month, leaving only two East Coast Piccadilly locations: Newport News, VA and Hollywood, FL. I absolutely love Piccadilly and we are watching its waning days as a business. People seem not to like quality home cooked food, which is what Piccadilly is, anymore. They would rather spend $12 on cheap chicken strips and mayo-ketchup sauce from Cane's than a $12 Dilly with real meat, two delicious sides, and a roll.
Yours,
TulaneLSU
