REMINDER: Cake Challenge, Tuesday, May 31, 2022

Next Tuesday, May 31, is the first day to submit your cake(s) for the cake challenge. Submissions will be accepted in the designated thread from Tuesday at 9:00 am(ish) through Wednesday at 8:55 am.
Make your cake, take some pics, post with a description! See y’all there.*

Oh shoot, that is this weekend? I just swore to myself I'd be healthier. I've got a beach trip coming up!
Twist my arm, I had 4 recipes saved and the people who I'd share with don't really like sweets. I may use this as an experiment.
My son begged to make the Dolly Parton Coconut cake a week and a half ago, he doesn't like coconut, so I ate most of it. I attempted to do my first ever two layer cake and it wasn't pretty. My decorating skills need work but it tasted good.

Are we allowed to use a relatively loose definition of cake? For example - crab cakes, grit cakes, etc. vs. chocolate cake, yellow cake, etc.
Not a fan of actual cake as in the dessert, but if we are allowed to do other things that are considered cakes, I think I can whip something up.

If I hadn’t done crawfish cheesecake in the last challenge, I’d have done something like that.
The challenge isn’t specific, it’s cake, let the voters decide what that means!

I AM a fan of actual cake, and that’s the problem. I’ve managed to make low(ish) carb creations for the past 8 or 9 challenges, but this challenge makes me tempted to do a glorious, delicious, all the carbs cake. And then I’d want to eat it.

I’m about to make the frosting for my second cake. Will have a taste test this afternoon so I can figure out which one to submit for the cake challenge that starts tomorrow.
