My Bayou Classic SP40 double jet burner (about 3 yrs old) regulator has been giving me issues the 2 days I've boiled this year, most recently just this past Saturday when I boiled 150#s in 4 batches. It did it one day last year year too, so basically the last 3 times I've done a boil.
Any suggestions for a replacement/upgrade regulator? Even though it didn't ruin any batches/pots or end either day early before all the crawfish were done, I just don't have full faith in its reliability anymore and want to replace it.

Get yourself a 60 psi regulator from the hardware store and attach it to a red Acme nut (the color of the nut indicates the flow and corresponding btu limitations, black is the lowest, then green, then red). Plumb that to a longish (8') lp gas rated hose. Buy yourself a single propane quick disconnect coupler for the opposite end of the hose, along with a few corresponding nipples to put on your various equipment (jet burner, jambalaya pot, etc.). That way you can use the same reulator and hose for all your gear.
