Still good to go? Got tied up and couldnt make them.

I'd be a bit concerned that they started some type bacterial or fungal culture soaking that long, especially if at room temperature.
Beans are cheap. Why chance it.

He’s still going to cook them. Baw I’ve left pizza out for three days and eaten it no problems. You’re fine cook the beans.

This is purely anecdotal but my friend soaked some for 2 days once and she said the taste was rancid when she cooked them. They had a weird foam on them prior to cooking.
They say if you soak longer than 4 hours, it needs to be done in the fridge. I’ve soaked longer than that without the fridge but definitely nowhere near 2 days.

Beans will go sour pretty easily. Wouldn't chance it.

I wouldn't waste the time and other resources on them.
Do as you wish..

Ya, theyve been in the refrigerator for 2 days.
Just going to toss them.

ETA: Just thought about this - I usually brine them so maybe that's what saved me. They were not in the fridge, though.
ETA2: Just realized who made the post above me. Welcome back MD!

What? About nine gazillion New Orleans moms and grandmas say that is horse hockey. They have been soaking the beans overnight in a pot of salted water since I was a kid (and well before my time) with no ill effects.

I’d eat the pizza after 3 days too.
Beans are a different t story for me.

i soaked a batch a few weeks ago on the counter overnight.
I rinsed them off several times. I tried a new method to degas them. I cooked them in plain water for about 1.5 hours. I then strained them and rinsed them off several more times.
Then i finally prepared everything like i normally would... method worked

Salted water would be different, salt goes a long ways too prevent bacteria. I’d eat them personally OP, as said the main issue would be potential off flavors though.
