We’re looking for a late lunch but nothing fancy. I was thinking about Camellia Grill but, I haven’t been there in a few years. I don’t remember it being as good as before the change in ownership. Is there a can’t miss spot that I should try in this area?

Go to Freret St and take your pic. Almost no wrong choice, but Wayfair, Mint, Company Burger, Dat Dog and Ancora are all great.

All of those, plus the Freret St corridor (Ancora, High Hat, Dat Dog, Co Burger, etc)
Newish El Libre for Cuban food on Calhoun; old nostalgia at Frostop....
Or head up Oak Street for the myriad options there, including great stuff at Simone’s Market and Cowbell. I went to Cowbell earlier this week after a long hiatus and remembered how good it is (grilled shrimp Cobb salad, chicken schnitzel, apple pie).
Lebanon’s, Panchita’s, on Carrollton, too.

I would go to Vincent's for their tomato bisque in a bread bowl - I know I'm late, but damn if that place doesn't deserve mention

There's a golden corral around there somewhere.
