Tequila Ocho should be your choice. Stay away from Casamigos.

I would recommend El Tesoro tequila for your price range; however, if you’re making cocktails I would recommend Cimarrón tequila as a value choice.
As far as tequila cocktails go, a margarita is hard to beat. Here is my preferred recipe.
Margarita
Ingredients
• 1 tsp. Simple Syrup (2:1)
• ¾ oz. Lime Juice, Freshly Squeezed
• ¾ oz. Triple Sec: Cointreau
• 1½ oz Tequila: Cimarrón Blanco
Instructions
1. Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and shake until well-chilled.
2. Strain into a chilled coupe.
3. Garnish with a lime wheel and kosher salt rim.

Same here, have tried several but the one I like best so far is Tres Papalote which is partially owned by Cheech Marin

Make sure you get 100% agave and no additives. Casamigos and Clase Azul are well known tequilas that do have additives. We like Cimarron Reposado. About $35-$40.
And we like mango mint margaritas. Get the frozen chunks. Add in a little OJ, simple syrup a splash of Mezcal for some smokiness, blend, repeat. Can rim the glass with some salt and tajin.
