Box combo is a touch over $8. I'd rather pay that for Canes than McDonald's. Everyone that complains about the prices does so because it's a convenient arguement, the price has risen at all fast food joints and Canes isn't outpacing any of the others. They don't mess up your order (probably because there's 2 options), it's clean, and the workers are pleasant.
This, plus it's incredibly fast - even with a decent line in the drive thru you'll never wait more than a minute or two. I've also never had a bad canes experience. The convenience and consistency is what keeps me coming back. The simplistic menu will prevent it from ever competing with Chic-Fil-A, but I'm not so sure why this many people get so riled up about a solid fast food place doing well.

I always find it funny when a local business does well, in this case extremely well, and then the home boys turn on it. I read national articles that Canes is at the top, or near the top, of fast food franchises, in quality and loyalty of its customers.
I rarely eat at Canes, no fried food for me, but when I do it is top quality chicken delivered with excellent service. I wish they had a hot and spicy, but they don't and I'm sure it is for geed business reasons.

Their strategy is basically to have only one thing on the menu, in varying quantities, so that when an order comes in you just grab a certain number of tenders, a scoop of fries and a toast and throw it out the window. It's what makes it so fast and efficient. The quicker they can do it, the more customers they can pump through, which leads to more sales. During lunch rush hour, you'll see just about every fast food drive through bogged down with tons of cars and long wait times, but canes just pumps people through, and this is why.
Variety would certainly help attract some of the Chic-Fil-A/Popeyes/KFC fans, but the consistency and efficiency is why the customers are so loyal, and I think Todd Graves has that figured out.

Cane's is better if you ask for extra crispy chicken
They have some off menu options like extra crispy, it depends on location, some are better like the original

I'm all for their model. Give people less choices but do a really good job with it. The more choices people have the longer things will take. If you've worked in a kitchen in the past ten years you know how many special orders come through. It all leads to extra steps to prepare an order. Next time you wait 20 minutes for your food at Applebee's take a look around at the tables next to you first.

That’s a stretch

Know what didn't blow up? The size of those tenders. Price blew up though.
Baw I was in sticker shock couple weeks back. Its been well over a year since my last canes purchase. I was in a bind and had a miss meal cramp going on and Canes was staring me in the face. Ordered a box combo no slaw, extra sauce and she tells me $8 and some change. Bout had a heart attack before I ate the fried chicken.

Truth. This board loves to shite on the local guys that want to grow. Parish beer gets shite on the same way
Canes is an excellent franchise and something people born and raised in LA should be proud of. People in Georgia are proud of Chick-fil-a, we should be proud of Canes too. Canes sauce and Texas toast are fantastic, and their chicken is always moist and tender. I wish it was breaded more like Popeye’s, but it’s not bad as it is. The problem most of us have is that as Canes has expanded, their prices have gone up and the quantity of food has gone down. shite happens, costs go up, and either consumers pay more, get less, or the quality goes down. Canes quality has been consistent, the money and quantity has just changed

Chicken is expensive these days. When it is your only protein on your menu it is going to be a tough battle
