Question regarding The Francis/St Fran recs

Me and the SO are going to be hiking Tunica Hills and we are looking for a place to grab lunch when we swing back down through St Francisville on the way back. I've heard a lot of good things on here and from others about The Francis. Will we stick out like a sore thumb there being in sweaty hiking attire? If so, what are some restaurants in the area that would be more appropriate that you would recommend instead?

Was literally there yesterday. For lunch, it's very casual. You're mostly going to see people in jeans. I would probably sit outside if I were you, but I don't think it's an issue.
The fried oyster poyboy I had was on point as always. Washed it down with a pint of Envie

What's up with the Audubon Lounge down the road from there? I usually stock up on my liquor there but the store has been closed the last few times I went.

The Francis is fine for you. It's very casual. Their oysters have a tasty batter. The bbq from their shop next door is mediocre, but the boudin is really good.
Don't bother with the Magnolia, it's boring and suited for older women.

I have been to The Francis once but I go to the Francis Smokehouse (right next to the Francis, just a smaller shop) very regularly. Cracklins there are amazing. I get the prime rib poboy often and it's great as well.
