So I bought some Ghost fot the first time and it says manifested on 7/12/2017.

So this means it was bottled last Wednesday? Do they bottle it all in one day?

Also, is now the best time to drink it? How will the taste change over the next month?

Thanks.

Alright so I'm def not a huge beer guy but the way it's talked on on this website I thought it was some kinda Pokémon adventure to find it. I stopped by Rouses in Ponchatoula after church and they had 4 4-packs on the shelf. I took one to the checkout lane ( w some lemonade for my daughter) and the customer service manager from across the aisle was like "where did you get that?!!" I said over on the beer aisle? She literally left her booth to go hide the others. Funny folks y'all are about this magical product

I'd rather drink the drippings from a hospital mop than drink Ghost, I don't understand the cult following for it.

Yes and yes (typically).

I think most people say that 1 to 3 week old range is optimal, but it is still great superfresh, and I wouldn't turn down a 5 to 6 week old bottle that has been kept cool (generally my cutoff for hoppy stuff).

Speaking for hoppy beers of similar style to Ghost in general, typically the green/vegetal hop characteristics are more prominent in that first week after packaging. The hop character can be a little raw, and some people prefer that. But generally, after a week or so those green flavors may mellow and meld a little and let the bright/juicy flavors shine, and you have everything in better sync. At some point around that 3-4 week mark, you may notice some decline in the hop flavor, but don't get me wrong, still very good. Sometimes the decline is gradual, sometimes the flavor falls off a cliff. Depending on the malt character of the beer, it may start finishing a little sweet/cloying as bitterness fades.

Space out the consumption of the bottles and see what you think, you may find everything I just typed to be bullshite.

I think Ghost is perfect right at 3-4 weeks. I drank one of my 7/5 ones last week, and it came out a little hot. I'm holding onto my last 3 for end of this month.

July isnt great but it's the summer of ghost son, cheapest way out, June was killer to make a statement as if it would be as consistent all summer, unfortunately that's not the case. Parish will still sell it all without any issues, just like Jucifer and etc.

I was just chiming in on another ghost thread. Your question (you) certainly didn't mean anything at all to me.

I don't get it either but look at it this way - all of these people will spend all their money/resources this summer on this stuff and the good beer that is usually hard to get will be easier to acquire for the rest of us.
