I think i have officially hit a wall, have only lost 1 pound in the last two weeks despite running my arse off. Will start a fast today.

This happened to me the last time I tried to lose weight, I got discouraged and quit running thinking why put myself through all that for nothing. I'm wishing I would have stuck with it now.

I only gained one pound this weekend.

Yea I'm not going to let it discourage me, Saturday was a wash, ran the CCC but ate and drank at the after party. That was my cheat day!

The Horror.....the horror....

176.7!!!

Just 16 pounds off my low. Holy Smokes!!!

2 crawfish boils and Easter lunch have sent my weight beyond the moon and all the way out to.....

The good news is that I have all my cheats out of the way for at least 2 weeks. It will be interesting to see how much I can lose on a low calorie but high carb diet for the next 2 weeks.

I'm taking an Atkins break but in 2 weeks, I will go back on Atkins for the FINAL push to 159.9.

16 freaking pounds. Ha! It was worth it. Part of the reason this diet worked for me was I don't beat myself up over cheats. I just brush off the dirt and get back to work.

I know...tldr

actually isnt it tl;dr?

thats how people look at my posts.

196 here! i'll take it..i also had the grand-louisiana-easter-holiday-3-day-candy-and-homemade-ice-cream-and-cookies-and-tons-of-rich food arama.

fasted ever since i got back so far today..so looking to be back in the lower 190s by tomorrow.

PS my 'moving 30 day average'? brought it down from 197..to 196..to 195(!) over the last 30 days. (this is a rolling average of every weigh-in for last 30 days).

hopefully i'll get more low 190s to bring it down further.

ahoy the white whale..189..still eludes me!!

i'm hitting it come hell or high water this time!

I've got a new knucklehead on another site telling me how I will fail and have done it all wrong.

He says I will gain it all back with my constant flip flopping binge eating. I'm not sure one bad meal a week under 2500 calories constitutes binge eating but whatever.

I would think after 2 years people would finally stop telling me I am destined for failure.

Admittedly, I still need to learn to eat a bit less when I cheat and I need to find the right mix of carbs but it kills me that idiots continue to tell me I am failing.

My blood pressure is down to normal without meds. I've lost 150 pounds and I've kept it off now for 2 years, yet people feel the need to tell me I did it wrong and I will gain it all back. Shut up sensei, this isn't about you.

I won't gain it back. I may bounce around a bit from 165 to 175 and back down to 165 but I will never see north of 200 again. Fact.

i'm working on that too! i need to get into the 180s to get a good cushin between me and that ugly "2" on the scales though so a binge foodathon wont push me close to the edge

Woot. Had my first bike ride in about 1000 years. I need to get back to at least 3 rides a week. I'm shooting for Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Damn jellybeans thank god they're only available once a year.

My son apparently doesn't like them, so it's up to me and the wife to eat them. I might just have to throw them away tomorrow.

I've never been a fan of the jelly bean but I can devour all the other Easter candy.

myth..think about doing intervals. here's what you do:

- ride 20-25 minutes at a VERY easy pace (if your legs feel any soreness you're doing it wrong)

- get in a gear that is not too tough (big chainring, middle of rear cassette) and take your cadence to around 60 RPMs

- pedal hard for 15 seconds and take your cadence up to 120 and hold it there for about 6-7 seconds.

- easy pedal for 5 minutes

- repeat 6 more times (5 minute rest in between)

this is a very easy way to get MUCH stronger on the bike and also the impact of those very short efforts will cause you to burn more fat over the next 8 or so hours.

try this and i can add some other workout ideas for you after you get comfortable with this one.

Lets first see if I can really get back to riding on a regular basis. Today was easy because I had the day off.

Dang bike ride kicked my metabolism up a notch and now i am wired and wide awake, unable to sleep. It is going to be a longggggg day tomorrow.

Down about 5.4 since Monday morning.

I was actually hoping for a bigger drop this morning. I think that might be the last of the water weight.....just in time for.....

The Wednesday Lunch!!!

Feeling a little more normal after the weekend (plus Monday lunch) of overindulgence. Should be good to go for the next couple of weeks- then May 6 is my Daughter's first birthday.
