I met tduecen at the gym today. Dude has lost an incredible amount of weight and gotten in incredible shape in just 9 months. He works out like a maniac though. He said his average time in the gym is about 2 hours

Just finished my 6th fast and am down 1.5 lb. There is a thread on the OT called OT workout crew :Diet. It has some good info on the keto diet that some of you may want to check out.

one anniversary. no pics, GFY.

Happy only 6.5 away from goal. BP is much better since limiting alcohol to a few glasses of J Lohr a week.

Going to Houston for a week for work. What kind of advice do yall have for eating healthy? Staying in a hotel with no way of cooking.

Eating out is tough, if you have a fridge in your room then stop by a grocery or get a cooler.Maybe try doing subway for lunch and then eating in for bfast and dinner

Let us know how much you lost, for me its usually 2 lbs
225/191/185 Holding steady which is OK. Tons of cheats ahead with out of state friends coming for a few days. Hopefully I can keep the workouts going to at least minimize the damage.

CADFast

I've actually started to look forward to these. The first fast, I thought I was going to die. But now, it is extremely easy and even enjoyable. I've been doing twice a week:

6:00PM Sunday - 6:00PM Monday
6:00PM Thursday - 6:00PM Friday

I tried skipping a Monday fast and for the rest of the week I couldn't wait to get to Friday to go at it again. I'm on my 8th fast. Made my initial goal of breaking 199 by March. I was 196.2 yesterday. Woohoo.

Anyone else loving the EatStopEat fast?

Thats a big file to look over but I will later, is it basically 1 24hr fast per wk, or does Pilon recommend 2. Are you working out also? I have done 7 consecutive 24hr fasts(1 per wk).It has really helped me thru some plateaus and hasn't affected my workouts. I do get a little nervous about depleting glycogen from my muscles and losing muscle mass, as I'm also low carbing it.

This is my third one. The first 2 were 2lbs but I did not followup with any control or consistency afterwards. too many white carb indulgences to have much success.

read the pdf. it discusses research that shows that fasting has no negative effects on muscles or muscle mass as long as you continue to workout through the fasting.

i'm working my way into the Spartacus workout, as well as walking and jogging.
