HIIT training is very effective and your article advocates at least 2 sessions per week. I started the spartacus last week which is like a HIIT but whole body, and feel pretty good. I also notice I'm much hungrier after that particular workout.I started out slow on the bike workouts because of previous knee issues. The air-dyne is upper and lower body workout all in one and has also helped get my shoulder lig/tendons get in shape so I can now feel good about HIIT. Your article also says the 30 min moderate workouts are also very good for improving cardiovascular health if you have the time. I have made it a priority so I make the time. Seems like a combo of HIIT whole body and moderate 30 min sessions may be a good balance. What I also think happens is that muscle get used to a particular workout so incorporating HIIT will challenge and cause muscle confusion. Thanks for the links

wee bit of a meltdown today. The free lunch was poboys and gumbo and I dove in head first.

Tomorrow will be VERY ugly on the scale. About the only good news is they didn't have any king cake or I would have tapped that cake too.

i hurt so bad today..1 hour and 33 minutes in hell last night with the local ex-pro on a trainer. he swears this type of workout will make me stronger; all i know is i looked down and my heart was red-lined at 174 for a good 10 minutes before he came over and adjusted the resistance slightly. i came home and slept like i was dead.

why do i race bikes again?
