man this atkins is tough. veggies for breakfast?

do what?

breakfast on atkins is fantastic... eggs, bacon, sausage.
cracker barrel has a couple of atkins breakfast plates complete with low carb toast. less than 10 carbs total for the breakfast.

you can always make breakfast tacos at home with eggs and sausage and low carb tortillas.

lost 5 pounds since Monday. this low carb diet is killing me. can't even eat a sandwich for lunch or a biscuit for breakfast. those have been a staple in my diet forever. but, this is going to be a good exercise in self discipline.

They have been for all of us that do Atkins - it gets a hell of a lot easier quickly. I don't miss bread or biscuits or anything like that at all.. except maybe spaghetti. Even then I can make fake spaghetti with spaghetti squash and presto, atkins-friendly spaghetti!

16 months in. Yes I still miss bread and pasta.

I don't crave them all the time but a nice sandwich is missed.

That and fruit are the reasons I switched to WW for a while. Now I'm trying to decide when/if i want to go back to Atkins.

By the way Myth, I went to taco bell yesterday. Had 4 tacos and it only cost me 16 of my 44 daily points. I was pretty surprised how WW friendly the tacos were. I did notice that other items, such as the nachos were not so friendly.

I think the tacos have about 230 calories although 4 adds up to 920 for one meal.

Not sure how that is only 16 points. Plus with all that sodium you could gain weight just from the sodium water retention.

But.... i could do some damage to tbell at the moment.

A crunchy taco is 170 cals. I get it fresco style, which is 150 cals. They are both listed as 4 points, but i actually prefer the fresco toppings instead of the 3 shreds of cheese on the regular.

ETA: I actually lost 1.6 lbs yesterday despite having 4 of those for lunch and a 9 oz. New York strip, mashed potatoes, and chocolate chip cookies for dinner. I used all of my points, but I didn't go over.

Rarely do I eat that "unhealthy", but I love that I can on WW and still not be cheating.

You should just go with the Volcano nachos at a slim 980 calories and 88 carbs.

When I fall off the diet wagon, I get the Volcano nachos, tacos and a few DD tacos. Then I promptly explode.

Gil..

Just finished a mile. Took about 20 minutes. I took a pedometer with me, 5 laps around my complex is almost exactly a mile. Like .1 over.

Of course he did. It is hot as hell out there. I am soaked as I type. Just got back from my 10 mile ride.

I still sweat just not as much and I no longer sweat in situations (air conditioned party) where I am not supposed to be sweating.
