Personally, I do think that once in a great while it can be beneficial. However, you don't want to go eating a banana split and lasagna. i would go with more veggies or a fruit or two.
I find that after I do eat carbs, it is a struggle to get back to the strict induction. Carbs make me hungry, and they make me want more carbs.

I believe cheats are good. Don't look at me that way CT, I continue to lose weight.
BUT...... you need to be careful. CT is right, once you get back to a normal carb load, your body screams for more carbs.
I still think the main problem for Hulk has been the amount of calories he eats. When was the last time he was on here talking about how hungry he was?
The scale may stall for a while but most of the time the scale does not lie. If it isn't moving down then we are doing something wrong that is causing it to stick.
Not trying to pick on you Hulk. I just want you to get the scale moving again and I think the only way to do it is to go back to induction and COUNT EVERY DAMN CALORIE.

Because I choose not to post that I'm hungry, it's used as ammunition against me. Maybe I should bitch and moan every time I hurt too. And start posting pictures of all my meals to prove that I'm not eating a ton.
Anyway, I'm going to KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) and try to "reset".
P.S.
CT.. The "caveman" diet is a real thing. It's the best way to get all of your nutrition. Sorry, but I don't think Atkins is a totally balanced diet. It works well and since it's low carb I rather it. But not eating fruits can cause you to miss a lot of nutrients and antioxidants. I'm not saying go apeshit eating fruit but 1 or 2 a day is a good thing imo.

I'm not attacking Hulk. We just want you to get moving in the right direction again.

Does anyone think that a few days off induction mode can help restart the burning again?
It has always helped me when I was on Atkins. Just try to keep it to a defined preset period (1 day, 2 days, 1 meal, or whatever). When that preset period is over, you have to jump back into hardcore induction.

Sorry Myth. I know you weren't meaning to attack, I was being a little smartass and took it too far. I'm not in a good mood at all today. Started last night. depressed

I can't wait til I'm in decent enough shape to do p90x. I tried it once in the past and I just couldn't do any of it for more than 10-15 minutes without being drenched in sweat and completely spent. I think when I get to 220 I'll do it.
Posted on 6/28/11 at 9:02 am to Hulkklogan
You can do it now....just do it at your pace...

Honestly I think it's too intensive for someone my size. Plus.. I live on the upstairs deck of my apartment. A 320 pound man doing plyometrics (sp?) is almost sure to disturb the neighbors

The poly is tough....did that last night....you can do many of the other DVD's though.....

I'm starting p90x (or at least trying it)next week after 4th of July weekend. I'm going camping from Friday til Tuesday, so I didn't want to start it now, then have that much of a break.

I have to admit the hummus bothers me. It is made with garbanzo beans.
Thought I should throw in that hummus is allowed later on in Atkins. It's pretty low-carb, even without the fiber.

None of us are attacking you, Hulk. The only reason I have said anything is because I see you doing the things that have caused me to fail in the past. We all want you to succeed. Every last one of us.
If you can learn from our time consuming mistakes, you can reach your goal faster. I am one of those hardheads that always needed to learn the hard way. I was hoping I could help you to be wiser than me by sharing how I could rationalize adding a little extra. You need to be taking a good multivitamin while on Atkins to bridge the gap of nutrients you are missing.
We know you're having a rough time of it. That's why we are "paying more attention", because this is a dangerous time for anybody trying to break old habits. We return to our bad habits because we find comfort in them. We're not ganging up on you -- just trying to escort you through the rough spots.
And I'm sorry, but that "net carb" crap is just ridiculous. Fiber does not cancel out the carbs. So if I eat a half a bale of hay, does that mean it will negate the half gallon of ice cream I want to eat? This had to have been cooked up by somebody wanting to sell their stuff to low carb dieters.

no.. it negates a number of carbs that would be in the bale of hay
And I know nobody's attacking me. I did think it was a little bit of a reach to throw in "Did you notice he hasn't been saying he's hungry?!"
