I mean that I may not be able to get near a station or rack of frees to be able to do what you suggested, as the same clowns always seem to hog all the equipment or take up so much room.
What I have noticed though is they really rarely lift or do anything, just a set and stand around. I do not want to be that jerk that tries to impose on them, because I am there just to work out and try make myself better.

I always just ask "can i work in with you" and hop in and out of stations

I guess I will try that, but they seem to always being trying to max out. That is part of the reason I do not want to be around those guys. I did notice yesterday they were all trying to hit on some lady, it was a sad performance by them. I felt bad for the lady as all she was trying to do was get in a simple lift.

I'm late to the party but I'm in.
Lost 3.5 lbs and want to lose 20 more.
Weighed in at 213 lbs. and down to 210 lbs.
Want to get to 190 lbs by June.

Good luck with that. If I can do it then you can do it. I used OY as my guide and he has not steered me wrong yet. Hulkk also got me on MyFitnessAp and it worked amazing in counting cals. It is free also.

20lbs in a month is a pretty lofty goal. Only hope truthfully would be a true fat fast of 1000-1200 cals @85-90% fat on weekdays and traditional Keto at 15x bw for cals @50-60% fat. Keep cardio to walking and lift three days a week.
But why the rush?

Thought you said you do comps... and f cardio
Posted on 5/2/17 at 12:14 pm to oleyeller
I do not mind doing a stationary or elliptical. But f running. I will walk though. Once summer school starts I will use the schools track to walk 1 mile during lunch and do my regular cardio I have been doing in evening (elliptical and stationary)
There is a 8 to 12% steep hill that measures a half mile right by the school that I may do on some days also.

A bunch of people in my office are doing Sensible Portions. It's a 1000 cal diet with prepared foods. I'm a kind of jealous of how little thought they have to put into meal planning, but the diet itself looks so miserable.
Then again, I talk about it being miserable as I skip lunch because I didn't plan ahead and nothing sounds good.

That just sounds bad. Like they aren't cheating or not counting.

na that is LSUweights. I do have a contest prep coach doing my diet and programming for me right now. I might do one next year If I can get my waist down to 31" or smaller and arms to atleast 16.5". But realistically it will be prolly 2 years before I could do one if I do one at all.

Does Nike still make the Hurrache?
I can not find a Pegasus I like they are all too heavy.
Or does anyone have a suggestion of a shoe?
Here is the caveat, narrow foot (B width) so Nike Adidas are really all I can wear comfortably. The New Balance cushioning system of abzorb hurts my MCL for some reason. I guess it is because I am so neutral and any stabilization or pronation control puts undue stress on my MCL.

There is nothing sensible about 1000k cals. That is a crash diet plain and simple. There are two diets that go that low in cals that are based on science and preventing muscle loss. The fat fast(5-7 days with 10 days absolute max) and rapid fatloss diet which breaks people down into catorgies to determine cals/macros and length. Both diets make it completely clear they are short term answers.
even for a 100lbs woman 1000 cals is extreme unless they do nothing all day.
Im all for extreme dieting. It works and if you are like me you have to take extreme measures to stay on track but I can't stand that companies dupe people like your coworkers into thinking thats the sensible way to eat.

what activies do you do? if you are lifting and just want a workout shoe, nike metcons are awesome. If you are looking for running shoes for more long distance stuff, I perosnally like asics as I have a high arch.
Posted on 5/2/17 at 12:56 pm to lsu777
Totally agree. My nutritional needs are different at 6'2 than they are for a 4'11 coworker. This one size fits all diet makes no sense to me. I wish them success, but it seems very unsustainable. And somewhat torturous.

TBH I have no real reason to rush.
I was just trying to get back into long slow distance runs and not having the extra weight (belly fat) would make it a lot easier on my joints
I don't want to do a crash diet like that so instead I will just keep up on changing my eating habits.
Right now I try to do 550 calories per meal and only 1 snack (fruit) during the day. I've also decreased my coffee intake from 8-10 cups a day to 4-6 cups a day.
No sodas of any kind but beer is harder to give up.

I hate high arch in Asics but may try them out again, what is their width like?
Brooks, Saucony, New Balance, and Reebok all run wide
Nike, Mizuno, and Adidas run narrow.
I usually get Runnings shoes for everything, due to weight. The Pegasus was my go to until they started screwing around with them.
Shox and Air Max are horrible for me due to rebound energy they send to my patella. When I was in college sports business we took everyone out of Shox, due to the acute patella tendonitis that shox gave everyone.
I wore Hurraches during summer camps loved them.
