PSA to resident blackstone owners

I had quite a large group come over yesterday for the 4th. I decided to keep things simple and get some pre-made patties from sam's club.
I got these 80/20 angus beef patties:

These made the perfect griddle burgers. Thin, 1/3 lb patties. All I added was a pinch of salt to each while on the griddle.
For those who like simple, thin burgers I highly recommend these.

Those blackstone griddles look awesome. Do you find that you use it as much as you expected? Ever do pancakes or fajitas?

we keep a sleeve of those in the freezer, they are great

Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but do you defrost them before you throw them on?
I've always just thrown the frozen patty on the grill/skillet and went to town, but every other piece of meat I take out of the freezer gets defrosted in the refrigerator at least overnight. What makes ground beef special?

Because it's thin enough to defrost and cook evenly while on the grill unlike chicken or steaks.

I used my friend's blackstone at his party for the same thing. Made short work of the 48 hamburgers, bacon, buns, fried eggs, and onions.

I don't use it nearly as much as my grill, but every time I do use it the end result is fantastic. I don't ever grill burgers anymore, the griddle burgers are so much better.
I have not done pancakes, but fajitas turn out amazing on the griddle.

Not a Blackstone owner but have the Blue Rhino Griddle. I made smash burgers on the 4th, huge hit with the family. Will not be making burgers the traditional way from now on.
