Private dining for two

Taking the wife out for her birthday, and wanted to have a nice/quiet dinner.
Looking for something similar to the bombay club's private dining.
We are staying at the Hotel Monteleone.
If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

wonder how many people have fooled around in those booths

Not exactly a private dining room but you could do the Chefs Table at Commanders

These are always strange requests. If you want private dining, stay at home or order room service.
But Crescent City Steak House has private booths.
If just looking for a quiet place and not booths, few more options, but New Orleans has a lot more boisterous restaurants than quiet ones. In fact, can't really think of a place that is "hushed" since Stella! closed.

Only downside is when I was trying to do this for my wife's birthday, they only allowed a party of 4. No more, no less.

I agree with you 100%, but you know how women can get.
They like to get all dressed up, and get their make up/hair fixed.
Can't let her do all that and just order room service while I'm in my boxers and a tee shirt

If she's getting dressed to the nines, I promise it's not just for you. Unless she has specifically requested a private dining experience, put the nice lady at a table where people can still see her

If you were a real baller you would buy the other two spots at the chefs table and only use two seats

This guy gets it. Take her somewhere nice and show her off.

Granted it was in another city but my husband arranged a private dinner at the Ritz one year for our anniversary. Had a facial, massage, mani/pedi in the spa, got dressed there and met him down in the lobby for dinner. Thought we were going to the in house restaurant until we got on the elevator to go back up.
They have a room they use for wedding tastings so that is where we had dinner with a custom multi-course menu and wine pairings. It was pretty awesome.
ETA: NO Ritz has some private dining options. LINK He arranged it all with a concierge. I have zero clue how much it cost.
