The wife and I have tickets to Chicago Friday night, and we are staying at the Roosevelt. We would like a nice place for dinner before the show, preferably within walking distance of the hotel & theater. Open Table shows no availability at Galatoire's, just wondering if there is anything similar in the area. Or could we just show up to Galatoire's around 6 and wait for a table?

ETA: I know Dickie Brennan's is nearby, but we have been there several times and are looking to branch out a bit.

Wife and I went to the Saenger Saturday night. Sat at the bar at Restaurant R'evolution before. Good atmoshpere and delicious bar food. Grilled oysters and gumbo in particular.

Some good suggestions but as far as within walking distance I'd say Bayona.

Domenica has not been impressive my last two visits, including this past Friday.
