Do people still go to The Varsity on Saturday nights? I remember circa 2005 there was a line to get in that would go out in front of Cane's.

Ryan Perilloux put an end to that

House does top shelf on Saturday.
That is such an ugly bar. It is literally one open room with a bar down one side. There is zero character to it

Man did I love that place...

That was a great bar. They played good music and always had a few good looking women around. Drinkin' With Lincoln on Thursday nights with K&B brand liquor. Of course, the Friday morning hangovers were unreal.

You're too hipster for The Boot. There are way too many people having a good time there for someone like yourself to feel comfortable

Who gives a frick? It's a college bar. I don't care what character it has. And are you saying that because Fred's has a patio that it has character?

is this one of those threads where every single bar in BR gets at least one mention about how awful it is, but every weekend said bar is packed anyway?

Yea - not sure what happened there. The owners either pissed off 5-0 & ABC something awful, or they were not paying their bribes timely.

It's got a two year ban but who knows. I've heard rumors they may have it opened in the fall.
