Just had my first Popeyes sandwich. I have no idea what the hype is about. Is it pretty good? Sure. But it’s really nothing special IMO.

Yes, because if it’s not a Michelin star meal I consider it beneath me.

It was a good sandwich. I’d happily eat it again, but I’m not going out of my way to get one either. I’m just saying the hype around it has built it up to be something it just cannot be. I give major credit to Popeyes PR team for creating a social media frenzy around it.

Had my first one this weekend, as well. I love Popeyes, but the sandwich didn't do much for me. Bland and dry, I wouldn't choose to eat it again. I'd rather them bring back those delicious red beans and rice wraps.

The objectively correct fast food chicken sandwich hierarchy is as follows:

1. Canes
2. Golden Chick
3. Slim Chickens
4. Chick Fil A
5. Wendy's (spicy chicken sandwich)
6. Popeyes
7. KFC
8. McDonalds (McChicken for $1)
9. Zaxbys
10 - 99. Literal dog feces
100. Burger King

No line at the Popeyes in Kennesaw so I stopped and got one and ate it ala Joeys food review. Really good. Got it with extra sauce and that was definitely the move
