This place does marinated grilled chicken with a mexican flair. condiments and sides include rice, charro beans, mac, coleslaw, chipotle sauce, verde sauce, peppers and cilantro. They do lots of other things with the grill as well, but we went bone in grilled chicken.

It was very good and cheap with a meal coupon. We did the 12 piece +2 with 3 large sides. for about 30 bucks.

Everything was good. place was clean and smelled good.

For semi fast food chicken I will definitely go back.

These places are awesome. Green sauce is a must. I order a whole side of it with chips. But damn, I pay like hell the next day!

If you're already there, you might as well go to Birria & Barbacoa right across the street.

I first had El Pollo Loco while stationed in Southern California and really liked it. The one in Baton Rouge doesn't disappoint when I'm on that side of town. The grilled chicken is very good.

Yep. Ate so much of it when I lived in California. It’s decent.

But I haven’t been to the one here since I found out about Ideal Market’s chicken. It’s better and the sides are better.

Agreed. Golden Chick does grilled/baked chicken very well also.

Pollo Campero has some good chicken too. As a rule, the Hispanics do good work with chicken, especially the Peruvians.

The chicken tortilla soup is the real deal. Stated having it in 1985 when I moved to South Texas. On a cold day its da bomb!

Pretty dry the time I got it. Maybe it had been sitting a while.

Really like the place. A bunch of immigrants working there and Some don’t speak a lick of English but very nice and my order is always correct. They always hook me up with extra onions, pico, jalapeños, etc.

It sure beats the Taco Bell and Burger King customer service

I wonder why. I can’t put my finger on it

It is that. It's not that hard to make, and most Mexican restaurants make a good version of it.
