Poisoned Jambalaya - What Was the Cause?

Anybody know what the final verdict was on the cause of the outbreak?

Thought it was e coli or something along those lines.

Yeah, but what i was wanting to know was what did they do wrong. Bad chicken? Food left out too long? I thought someone even said it was the onions?

It was fecal related. Did not wash hands properly.

dont know but off the bat im sure it was bad pork, that is usually the culprit

To thought I saw that they forgot to cook the chicken, so they folded it into the finished pot...

I’d bet money they handled the raw chicken and never washed their hands after. They handled the cooked food with raw chicken in their hands.

Nah. Medium rare is 135 or so. 145 is approaching boot leather.

That chart is from the USDA. Your government wants to protect you from food borne pathogens by having you over cook everything just to be safe.
