This is comical. original owners left the concept in shambles, bank forclosed and the previous group stepped in and tried to turn the place around. No changes were made to the beans. They were from Texas and could not monitor a BR fast food chain, the work force is a little different here. Good luck to the original owners. Shreveport is still run by the Texas group and doing very well.

You are incorrect. The originators of this concept sold the stores to a local investment group, backed by the bank you referenced(which was actually an investment group), and this new ownership proceeded to run the business into the ground. Not meaning to be rough, the investment just didn't work out well for reasons not known to me. The investment bank had to take the stores back several years ago(not form the original owners, but from the local investors), and in general, operations have faultered. The gentleman that is picking stores back up will make them successful if it can be done. And as an aside, recipes and cooking methods were altered substantially from those of the originators,,,not being negative, just truthful.

If the new owner has half a brain he will change the name and redecorate. Podnuh's is synonymous with low quality BBQ in this area.

And hire more qualified workers instead of the ones they have now. They're more suited to work for Burger King or Taco Bell.

the stores here weren't even hiring people that knew how to cook

the group that bought them from Virginia knew dick about the restraunt industry and ran it into the ground. Ed was the main guy's name....what an idiot

Podnuhs really fell off the map about six or seven years ago, due to new management and loss of a few employes who took some of the recipes with them. The beans and sausage at BBQ West are the same that used to be at Podnuhs BBQ.

That's what I believe happened. I know "Dan" of Danken was a long time Podnuh's guy.
