That's awesome. Would love to have seen Pokies face when somebody asked him if he had wifi... Or the multiple times that warranted his sign postage. That's great.

Too funny. I miss that grumpy bastard.

He finally got an ATM because he doesn't take credit cards.......
Pokey does reserve his right to refuse service to anyone and don't care what anybody thinks. I respect that about him.......

I stopped going there when they told me that the Fontina cheese they sold me was from Italy. Nope. It was made in France. (The print was so small on the wrapper, I couldn't read it until I got home. I just trusted the bastards.)
They previously ticked me off when they sold me prepackaged, frozen cannoli. Of course, I mistakenly assumed they would be made fresh. At no time during my phone inquiry did the a-hole bother to mention they were factory made frozen shite. Going to get the cannoli, I imagined twenty freshly made pastries in a white cardboard box. Nope. It was twenty frozen cannoli in a plastic grocery bag.

pokey doesn't take cards because his business always seems to break even when he's all cash. It's amazing how that works.

quote:Tax evasion. I don't doubt it for a second. A local Chinese restaurant has a habit of not ringing up sales when I pay in cash. So I started to pay with a credit card. Now they pay taxes and the credit card interest fees.

quote:Yep. And it's been years. I don't forget blatant FUs.
Mad for sure

Nice. One of the most bizarre sites I've ever seen was a teen girl having a facetime session while at a table with her parents at Uncle O's.

quote:I know. I'm really taking them to the wood shed by paying for my meal. Of course, in the same the senario, the cashier could be stealing from his employer by pocketing the cash. So in fact I'm doing the owner, the rest of the employees and customers a big favor.
