I said $20 for a burger Poboy. Your pic says $19.29. Add cheese. It’s over $20.

If regular means two patties and the poboy loaf then $19 as it says isn’t all that high
Correct.

What's insane is that there are people in here defending a 6 inch burger poboy with cheese and fries for $25...now that my mind is getting over the shock I think she said $25 and not $22

A large hamburger poboy is the equivalent to 4 hamburgers
4 hamburgers costing $40 isn’t that outrageous right now at all for anywhere not McDonald’s or Burger King

There’s no way a 6 inch is $19. It has to be a double patty. Their double patty on a bun is $19. Their single patty on a bun is $10. A regular burger Poboy is 2 patties.

So $20 for a 6 inch piece of bread and 2 patties is reasonable?? lol
Posted on 8/17/21 at 8:23 pm to LSUsmartass
It is 12 inch of bread, not 6

To make money with the price of beef, labor, and overhead, unfortunately yes.
In a general sense, no, but they aren't a charity to feed your fatass

You’re not telling the truth. You got 2 patties. That changes everything.
If one patty is $10, then $20 is near reasonable, although I’d think a couple dollars high.

If this looks like 6 inches of bread than I would hate to have to judge my cock size

Dude, you got 2 hamburger patties, regardless of the bread size. You got 2 burgers. Yes, it’s a dollar or two high, but it’s not shocking. And 8 tenders are a lot. Canes gives you 4.
You got 4 entrees.

Well all you rich folks wanting to support local businesses with these prices are absolute saints. I can't justify spending $45 for 8 chicken tenders, 2 hamburger patties, 6 inches of bread and some fries.

Yeah, the quality definitely comes into play here.
Overpass Merchant down the street from one of the Poboy Express locations is $12 for their chuck-brisket house ground burger on a much better bun, WITH hand cut fries. And that's not counting their BOGO special night each week.
Curbside is $7 for a burger, $7.79 with cheese. (They also do a killer Monday family deal special, but that's not a fair comparison) Their double patty burger on the menu is $9.49.
Is inflation maybe hitting the takeout spots that don't get to make up for food costs with alcohol, soft drinks, and appetizers harder? Those three things are big money makers for dine-in places.
EDIT - Double patties changes things in the sense that I'd expect no more than $13-$15 for the sandwich if it doesn't come with fries at a place like that. Anything above that is pretty surprising to me still.

He got a meal to feed 4-5 people easy and paid $45
Yeh it sucks it isn’t cheaper but that is $8-11 a person and better than almost anywhere else non fast food

Maybe you should just order like a regular person and not like a Lan whale and your bill won't be $45

Pontchartrain poboys in mandeville has a 12 inch hamburger poboy for $12.

Maybe I’m jaded by prices but for all the food he got $45 seems about right. I have a family of four and besides fast food it’s hard to get a meal under that
