Any of you try this thing out yet?

quote:

This thin-crust, 10-inch pizza is topped with boudin, Cajun sausage, onions, green onions, cracklin crumbs and Steen's cane syrup. Oh, and the pizza's cheese isn't just mozzarella. It's a ghost-pepper mozzarella cheese blend paired with a bit of American cheese.

The boucherie pizza was introduced about a week ago and has sold well considering Miller has only advertised its arrival in the pizza shop.

Which will close first, Mellow Mushroom or this one, is the question ?

Hopefully not Artista's before I get to head to Lafayette and try this pizza.

Is mellow doing bad? I went once and they charged me $7.75 for a green flash WC IPA 12oz bottle and I told myself I'd never go back and I hope that place closes down.

Was talking about this place at the water cooler this morning. Wish the Laffy krewe was still there to give me the 411.

Ain't that the going rate for Ghost at the grocery store according to a couple posters?

It's in one of several cursed Lafayette locations. Countless restaurants have come and gone there.

I'm fb friends with a guy who eats there almost everyday and post pictures. Obviously he loves it. The pizza looks good for the price. I'd go there over Mellow.

When you start advertising for boiled crawfish at a pizza joint, there's a fat woman clearing her throat. This place has an identity crisis. Do you want to be a beer and pizza joint or do you want families. Can't put college kids and families at the same table. Oh and please figure out that Lafayette people have their minds made up, its either Pizza Village or Deano's so you better have something drastically different or you lose your arse

Went to this place once with another family.

The pizza was good, make no mistake. But their loaded pizza could not compare to the Cajun Executioner from Deano's.

For me it's Roma's and Deano's. I've never been a fan of Pizza Village.

I haven't been to Pizza Artista's yet, and I have heard that it's good. But Deano's olive oil crust (especially topped with the Executioner) is stellar. Light and crispy and crunchy.

I really enjoyed the Deano's in BR while it lasted. I wish it would have made it through my college years

It's in Time Plaza shopping center next to La Pagua.

The concept is similar to Izzo's: you walk through and create your own pizza, but there are also some named pizzas on the menu. I think I had what they called the Swamp Dog.

Yes Darla, the Cajun Executioner sets the bar for me too

I knew Mellow would flop, regardless of the cursed location. There's just too many places in Lafayette that have strongholds on the pizza market, and always will. Deano's, Pizza Village, BJ's, Romacelli's, Alesis, Rochettos in Scott, and probably other's I've forgotten about, offer much better pizza.

Yup - I can't remember a single place lasting more than a couple years at that location. Just off the top of my head, it's been Tucan's, Booty's, Serrano's, and now Mellow Mushroom.
