Seriously...it's not often that I'll go to a place once and completely write it off. I had some leftovers and I tried to eat them the next day and just threw them in the trash. And at the time I was a broke college student.

frick that place and anyone who is stupid enough to like it.

My wife and I went there the last time we visited family in Baton Rouge. The food was quite good but we stopped eating when an elderly couple seated near us had a big cockroach fall from the ceiling and into the elderly lady's plate of food. Catman was right about all the eyes looking at you while you are eating. I guess that they keep it dark for a reason.

I will never go just because of the reputation yall say it has with bugs... How does a place stay in business with that kind of reputation and how does it pass inspection? If the dining area is as bad as yall say, I can only imagine how bad the kitchen is.

Hell no for me. I have standards and it doesn't involve paying to eat bugs or watch bugs while I eat unless I'm camping

I've been there probably 35 times and have never had a bug issue. Not really sure why it gets that reputation.

Only place I can say I have ever been in where I looked to the wall and saw a roach just waiting for its chance.

How does it pass inspection? My guess is that someone is getting paid off. This isnt an isolated incident.

Probably one of my favorite places to eat in BR. The veal parmesian is money.

I too love the veal parm. They do a great red sauce. The apps are horrendous. They are the only Alpine place around, so if you like saurbraten, etc. you need to try it.

The place is what it is.

I eat there all the time and have never seen a roach.

The most buggy place I have ever been was on my only two trips to Walk-ons. Roach in a cheeseburger and a roach falling from the ceiling. I can live with the falling roach. shite, my house has seen a roach or two. Roaches in food is over the top.

Next time you go accidently kick on the lights. I garantee you will see shite scatter. When I went last I had no idea the place had a rep for the bugs either. I do like the food but seeing roaches while I eat just gives me the creeps.

As much as I'd like to have an open mind, I can't look past this. I'm sure I've eaten lots of nasty shite in my life, but that fact that it wasn't right there in the open for me to see is comforting to me. I don't think I will be trying Pinetta's any time soon.

I went once and really enjoyed it. It was about 2 years ago. I liked that it was a hole in the wall place, and they ahve some things on their menu you don't see around BR that much.

Screw the haters. I've been plenty of times the last few years and have not had any problems with the food. The service, on the other hand, is sometimes slow, but it's not something to go cry about.
