that stuff is 59 cents a four pack at Chinatown Market. I haven't used it yet though. Just tried my jarred stuff so far.

No there is no Asian market source here. The closest may be in Savannah or Jacksonville FL. If even there. We have very few Asians in this part of the world.

You'd be surprised. They will have them in neighborhoods you didn't know existed and likely closer than you think.

Also, Internet.

That's where I got it. And that's how much it was. But with the fresh ingredients, it's got the right flav. I've gone through a bunch of it.

What do you mean "no message"? I thought you'd laugh for sure.

A while back, Powerman had an awesome thread on a homemade pho experience. Maybe we can get him to chime in here, or supply that link.

Someone else can review the recipe to determine if it's a good one or not. Tasted good.

I don't think that's pho but another type of noodle soup. I've never had a bowl of pho that used garlic or soy sauce in their recipe. I'm no expert, but the stock for pho is usually from beef bones or chicken. Unless you have half a day to make a stock, using the packaged seasoning in the box will help make your broth taste better.

Thanks. Recipe called it shrimp pho, but all I know is that the flavors were good.

Id like to make a pho and use smoked brisket for the meat.
