Another day, when I've got more time to kill, I'll definitely have to see what all the fuss about Tan Dinh is about.
It's excellent. Even the tofu dishes are delicious

They are going to be on Maple Street
Cannot wait for this. Literally a couple blocks from me. It was supposed to open late this month but for whatever reason, I haven't heard much about it lately. Anyone know when it's supposed to open?

Yep. May be open now.

The place on Maple is called Ba Chi?
Posted on 3/27/13 at 9:12 am to brewhan davey
yes. I just looked them up on Facebook, and it looks like they may be open.

In addition to Ba Chi, yet another viet place is opening at the corner of Oak and Carrollton, in the old bank building (previous home of the awful steamed burger joint, the so-so Indian steam table joint, and the short-lived deli). Can't recall the name, but it's a pho shop.

Awesome. I'll give them a try on Friday
Edit: any idea of Ba Chi hours? I need an early morning spot.

Just passed by Ba Chi..still not open.
ETA: open as in, open for business. It still has the "coming soon" sign out front in the window.

That sucks. Looks like I'll still be going to the Westbank.

Not yet open for business..

Yeah.. I wish it was going to open early like Tan Dihn apparently does. Nothing like a good, early morning Pho to combat a hangover.

Not to take this thread off topic, but apparently another Vietnamese place is opening on the corner of S. Carrollton and Oak (right across from Rue De La Course). As much as I love Vietnamese, I wish New Orleans would tap the breaks some on it. I'd rather see a great Indian place open up.
