It's close but there are high quality Tempranillos from Spain and Cabs from South America that are better for the same price.

I’m drinking a glass or two of Bogle Petit Sirah this evening for the first time. They don’t carry it at my closest grocery store so I traveled a little further to find it. Big fan of other Bogle varietals for inexpensive wines.

On one of our early visits to Napa the B&B owners turned my wife and I on to Vince Arroyo Petite Sirah. Took a bottle home and signed up for their order list.
2 years later they called, and I ordered a case. Laid it down and forgot about it for 20 years. Opened a bottle with some good friends a few months ago - inky, purple and smooth as silk.
Good petite sirah take some money and a lot of time and patience.
