Happy to see Pete's making a comeback.

LINK
After repairing and replacing Pete's with a nice new current look, it still has that great feel and the famous Pete's burger.

The Pete's tradition started back in 1968 as a dance hall, later a sports bar and over the years has evolved into it's current family neighborhood eatery.

The doors will be open again very soon around early Summer time.

TOTALLY overrated. A hunk of unseasoned ground round on a cold bun taken right out of the bag. I will give them credit for the onion rings, when they hit the grease temp correctly there is no better I've eaten.

I waited tables, barbacked and bartended in the late 90s while at USL. We were rolling.
Glad to hear Kathy ( I guess ) is reinvesting.

I've been noticing the renovations as I drive by on Johnston street. When do they plan to re-open?

ETA: let's hope a new slew of TVs is part of the fix, because the old place had 50 TVs of various degrees of suckage. Somehow though, that was part of the appeal.
to the new Pete's

The Pete's burger has changed in the last several years. Back in the 80's and 90's it definitely wasn't just an unseasoned hunk of meat. It had a lot of flavor and a traditional hand made burger. In the last few years it has taken on more of the frozen patty characteristics. Hopefully the real owner will bring back what it was.

Yeah.... Their tv setup was beyond horrible. Too much competition these days for that shite. Hopefully they are getting with the times.

Pete's

Pass it several times a day and never noticed it closed. It was basically Chuck E Cheese with burgers instead of pizza
