No sugar but a splash of pet milk

Half and half or nothing at all.
Mashed potatoes made with PET milk are the bomb tho.

And white gravy for biscuits or chicken-fried steak.

My wife will use a teaspoon of sugar and evaporated milk from time to time if out of whole milk. At her office, she uses Half & Half.
As for me, it's 1/2 tsp. of sugar and Creamora to lighten the coffee. I don't care much for the taste of milk, cream or Half & Half in my coffee.

I agree with this. When I make mashed potatoes it's real butter, PET evaporated milk, salt and pepper-----OH, and a nice pot of a rich brown gravy to go over them.

My grandmother does this. She grew up during the depression and sugar was rationed. They used sweetened evaporated milk in their coffee instead of sugar

This is done quite a bit in Europe. It was not bad. We usually use half & half at home though.

Growing up, this is how my mom and dad drank their coffee.

On an unrelated note, my wife (no pics) was in whole foods and asked for help finding pet milk and the hipster dude lead her to the dog foods aisle.

My dad does this. I'm not a fan.

My grandparents did it. I do when we have it, but I’ve never made a habit of buying it for that reason. Usually just half and half with sweetener.
Might have to try buying it regularly to see if morning life improves.

PET milk and sugar.
I used to put 17 teaspoons of sugar in a standard sized cup of coffee. No lie.
Unsurprisingly, I now have diabetes. So now it’s 1 pack of Truvia and 3 teaspoons of sugar.
ETA: I wouldn’t literally spoon 17 teaspoons of sugar into my coffee cup - I used a plastic scooper. One day I just kind of wondered how much sugar I was putting in with that scooper, so I measured it out and it ended up being 17 teaspoons. I then realized...”Damn - that’s a lot of sugar for one cup of coffee.” Drank it that way for probably 15 years.

That sounds so gross. How could you drink something that sweet.

I use heavy cream in my coffee and no sugar.

Parents used it in their coffee all the time. They even had one of those metal caps that punctured the can and served as a cap in the fridge.
I prefer my coffee black with a little sugar.
However, Pet Milk with a little sugar on top of sliced bananas is da tits.

Grew up with Pet milk in my coffee. My elderly parents still use it, and me too when I’m there. Also great on fresh fruit / wild blackberries with a dusting of sugar on top. We also added it to oatmeal. Makes everything taste richer.

I do that. No sugar or milk Judy a little condensed milk.
