I've read about crawfish dipping sauce on here, but I've never actually seen it in person.

I agree with the "live and let live" approach here. My wife dips the tails in a ketchup & mayo mixture, without fail, but I never did so and probably never will.

That being said, she enjoys the sauce, and crawfish boils are about passing a good time. No harm, no foul.

Plus, I have seen enough people use dipping sauce at crawfish boils over the years to know that it's not some sort of egregiously outrageous affront to culinary good taste.

So I say if you likes it, go ahead and eats it.

Crawfish dipped in Canes sauce is delicious and crawfish is a delicacy I only get to have maybe once or twice per year, so F&%k you for giving me grief for enjoying it the way I want to enjoy it. I'm not forcing you to do anything. Let me be me you pretentious POS.

I just wanted to drop this debate here. This isn't a fondue party, it's a crawfish boil. You should be able to taste the flavor of the boil in the crawfish- not lather it up in mayo, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce (yes I googled the spelling).

You should probably care less about how someone enjoys their food and lighten up a tad.

Is it ok if I dip boiled shrimp in cocktail sauce?

Bet then you won't taste the boil, and this is a big deal!

meh, i don't personally dip my tails in the sauce, but do not care what others do. Imposing your beliefs upon others is one of the main problems in this country, IMHO. You do you, brah. I'll do me.

I wish I was friends with these people. I'd come to their house to eat a steak, ask for ketchup and stare them in the eyes as I eat my filet with a shite eating grin.

In before, we would never invite you yada yada yada. I'm usually a great dinner guest.

But wait, why would you want to ruin perfectly good chicken tenders by dragging them through some damn ketchup? Sounds like your chicken tenders are bland.

And btw, ketchup with chicken tenders? fricking amateur. Make a real dip.

What about when you order eggs Benedict, do you say "hold the hollondaise?" Is dipping a good skirt steak in chimichurri also for the heathens?

All I hear is "I'm a fancy pants MFer", look at all the shite I eat on a regular basis.

I am a man of the people. I came here to say frick Crawfish Dip and show you the light.

Instead, you want to argue the merits of ketchup on tenders. I am busy, sir. Have a good day. NEXT POST!

From the New Orleans and I didn't know about dip for boils until someone from down the bayou and their friends hosted a boil. It's seems to be where in the state you grew up. It doesn't bother me at all, not like dusted crawfish

Just getting in on page 4, but I will say that I hate ignorant rednecks and coonasses who believe that there is only one way of cooking and eating something. If it not the way their grandmother did it, then it's shite. frick you and frick your grandmother.
