Cooks on here generally use as much as 1.5 quarts per pound down to 1 qt per lb of pasta. Play it in the middle and go 1.25 to 1.

I think you’re gonna find the need to add more than what’s posted here, and that’s fine. One of the luxuries of cooking pastalaya.

I guessed at this and did 25% more on last batch in a 5 gallon pot and it was perfect.
