What size should I cook for everyone to get a entree serving plus maybe have 20 bowls leftover. I looked at the calculator but I know rice swell different than pasta

Don't be a savage, use rice.

Noodles are more forgiving. Let us just leave it at that.

Well they want pastalaya so I’m not arguing. I was just asking for a ratio or how much pasta to use. I got the meat

Don't be a savage, use Bow tie.

A 5 gallon pot will fit 4-5 pounds of pasta (depending on meat) and will give you 50 small scoops max, but not large entree size.
A 10 gallon pot with about 8 pounds of pasta will suffice.
My ratios are:
8# pasta
10# sausage
10# onion
20# chicken or pork (boneless weight)
And I use 4 cups of water for every 1 pound of pasta

Download the latest version of the Jambalaya Calculator HERE Click on grey button that says "Download this File".
There is a pastalaya tab for whatever size you need.

Six servings per pound of pasta for big eaters, eight per serving for a mixed crowd. Use the appropriate amount of meat. Same as with rice. This is assuming you have sides. This is to feed your first fifty. Adjust appropriately for the additional bowls.
