Parrans Po-Boys Metairie........

Had a shrimp po-boy from there a week back for a meeting and it was absolutely terrible. The shrimp were nothing special, and the french bread was as soft as a loaf of white bread. Is this another place that pays Fitzmorris to trump them up?

Yes. The seafood is not good there. The Italian poboys are good along with some of the plate lunches. Just another place that's pays Fitz.

I don't like their seafood poboys but the pastrami and veal parran are pretty good.

I've heard nothing but bad about that place. No idea how they stay in business.

Not many people know this, but the Parran's owner used to own Wayne Jacob's Smokehouse, for about 4 years, I think. During that time, the back room of Parran's sold andouille and all the other goodies from WJ's.
I didn't know it at the time, but the present owner of WJ's mentioned that to me.
ETA: I never had a seafood sandwich there, but for years, everything else I've had there has been pretty good.

I'm pretty sure they still have signs out front that says butcher around back.
